This is the Ford family and he is also my chiropractor. A very awesome one at that! Last year he helped me with my many hurt bones, I had 3 different circumstances in one year that needed chiropractic care. You may recognize this family picture if you live anywhere in the Davis county or surrounding areas. He uses this picture with his ads in the Davis County Value Pages and Hometown Values.

Gerke Wedding July 07
Beth and Ryan were so nice. It was a pleasure working with them. I was very greatful for their patience with me....you see Beth is about 5'4" and Ryan was about a foot taller than that! It posed a little bit of a challenge when doing their pictures but they were very happy in the end!

Retouched vs. Unretouched Images
As part of my services I offer full retouch on all prints. Not only are they color corrected and lighting adjusted but I also go in and remove any blemishes, stray hairs, under eye circles or puffiness, whiten teeth, lighten eyes and basically anything else that needs to be done to give it that "airbrushed" look! These were taken earlier this year and this was the shot the Founders of the whole food company picked for their website. Be sure to click on the image to pull it up full size and get a better view at the changes. They are very subtle but make a big difference. If you would like to know more about their whole food product go to www.wholefood2u.com

Commercial Photography
These are some photos I did earlier this yaer of a whole food that is processed and sold out of Ogden. They wanted me to do some marketing pictures and I had a really good time doing it and loved how they turned out.

Brocks 1 year pics
Okay so when I took these they were completely experimental. I set up my "studio" in my living room and shot away. Some things I learned along the way...

I love natural lighting, and it's best to make sure you get those "windows" in the eyes, that really makes them shine!
Um..make sure my backdrop is not wrinkled!! I was in a hurry and didn't take the time and when I downloaded these onto my computer I realized just how bad it looked. I'm glad I have my kids to experiment on lol.

I love technology and the fun I have had with lightroom in adjusting the lighting, color, and special effects. Some of these I made very artsy but I really love how different they are from what I typically do. Thanks to my friend Sara for giving me a little friendly competition and kicking me in the butt :) Reading in her blog how much fun she is having with her business made me realize what I'm missing out on by taking baby steps and letting rejection and fear stand in my way. I've been such a baby and really lazy about this whole thing, letting the fact that I didn't have my website up be an excuse...well I say NO MORE! I'm really very excited, and getting my butt in gear has also got my creative juices flowing. I really need to start my family blog now because AJ was riding his bike today with NO TRAINING WHEELS!! YYYAAAHOOOO!!! Way to go AJ I'm so proud of you, you fell a couple of times but they were no biggie and then you did get one booboo and I got a great picture of your alligator tears and your little booboo that you got no sympathy from mom. So enjoy this next group of, might I state again, completely experimental pictures.. I'm really putting myself out there and showing you all what I have been doing. Did I mention these were experimental?? Lol.

Did I mention the wrinkled background?

Some old pics....

I love these two pictures of Anthony holding Brock. This first one I love how Brock was looking at his daddy. These were just in our living room and it was kind of dark and the t.v. was on so there was a really strong blue hue on the entire image which made correcting the color a little tricky.
